Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Strathon uses cookies and similar technologies on getstrathon.com and the managed cloud. We keep this deliberately minimal: no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics, no cross-site tracking pixels.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They can be "session" (deleted when you close the browser) or "persistent" (kept for a set period), and either "first-party" (set by us) or "third-party" (set by another domain).
What we use
| Cookie / storage | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
strathon-cookie-ack | Remembers you dismissed the cookie notice | Essential | Persistent (local) |
| Session cookie | Keeps you signed in to the managed cloud | Essential | Session / configurable TTL |
The first is stored in your browser's localStorage rather than transmitted to a server. The session cookie applies only when you log in to the managed cloud.
What we do not use
- No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other advertising/analytics trackers.
- No cross-site or fingerprinting technologies.
- No selling or sharing of any data derived from cookies.
Managing cookies
Because we only use strictly necessary and basic preference storage, there is nothing to opt out of for advertising. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings; doing so will reset your dismissed notices and log you out of the managed cloud.
Self-hosting
If you self-host Strathon, only the essential session cookie applies, on your own domain. No data is sent to us.
Changes
We will update this policy if our cookie usage changes, reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
